Sweetwater calling...

I'd trust them over amazon any day. and I don't mind the occasional call from Kenny to test my willpower.

I happen to like Sweetwater. More importantly, my wife is always happy to see a Sweetwater box arrive because she gets the candy. Win-win.

The calls do get old... I told them I buy all my gear used so I wasn't a good customer to pursue and I haven't gotten one in a minute. Now Musicians Friend/Guitar Center do not get the hint!

My Sweetwater rep calls me every now and then to follow up on how my gear is treating me. I've never had a bad experience with Sweetwater, and I've spent/wasted (depending on your perogative) thousands of dollars with them. They are my go to for new gear and if you want a damn good plek job, they can handle that as well.

My Sales Engineer is very low pressure and has hardly ever called. We text back and forth, but only when I initiate a purchase or ask a question/request a quote, etc. He's super helpful and I hope he remains my SE for a long time.

Same. The one dude I’ve bought everything from (2 Mesa heads, 2 Mesa cabs and 2 basses) he calls me twice a year to check in. Other than emails, I’m surprised so many people get a fair number of calls.

I think the customer service from Sweetwater is first rate. I don’t mind the occasional call. I have pointed out to my sales engineer that their prices on several acoustic guitars posted on their Reverb site were $100-200 more expensive than others listed on Reverb. Also, I pointed out that I can often go to an out of town (out of state) music store Website and buy the guitar directly there, usually even cheaper than that store’s Reverb price, still get free shipping, and not pay my Florida 7.5% sales tax. My sales engineer responded that he would try to match that price.

I get voicemails and sometimes texts from both Sweetwater and MF. I usually don’t answer my phone unless it’s family. I’ll reply to a text - usually just being truthful and polite. I’ll even tell them to let me know if they have a massive clearance sell off of a bass or cables etc for 75% off, then give me a call. I have yet to get that call. Hahaha

There was one time I was looking at gear and got a text from SW, and I asked a bunch of technical questions I couldn’t find answers to online. The guy helped as best as he could.

Sweetwater is pretty good for the most part in my years of experience with them. Zzounds and American Musical Supply are the one's you better watch out for.

What I am saying is, Sweetwater is calling using another name on the caller ID. Performance Pavilion, probably so you pick up. And they called about a cheap power adapter that I returned a year ago, before It even arrived. I can see if you actually purchased something, because that is decent, followup customer service, but I did not....End of Story.

They call all the time. I have thousands of posts on TB, so I'm not against talking about gear. They've never been pushy or tried to sell me anything. So, every 20 or so calls, I'll answer--depending on my mood.

Yeah me too. Matt is a cool guy, but their follow-ups (I’m sitting on a gift card and get a message every other week asking if I need something. Kinda annoying, but he’s just doing his job and I’m cool with it.

Yes, several bad experiences. I don't do business with either them or American Musical Supply any longer. They are one in the same company even though they will deny it.

I had a bad experience with Zzounds. I ordered a Cordoba acoustic guitar from them earlier this year. The order didn’t include a hard shell case. The guitar arrived by Fed Ex in a flimsy cardboard box with no padding. It is miraculous that the guitar was ok. I complained to them in writing and detailed this in my review. Photos attached.

Sweetwater will usually double box a bass guitar, not so with Zzounds. I've had several items from Zzounds arrive damaged, worst packing in the industry! I've had wrong items sent, ordered a sunburst Pro 2 bass received a Jazz in another color. They even sent me someone's returned and damaged Mesa D350 amp I purchased as brand new. Anything returned will be held against you, even if it's their fault.

I bought something almost 2 years ago, they’re still calling. Last call I asked them to stop calling me. They said they would. We’ll see.
