They've had Federa instruments on the site for a couple of months now. Today is the last day of 36 month no-interest financing.

Sweetwater is a very good company - honest and reliable. They are precisely the kind of people you don't mind doing business with. I'm not in the market for a Fodera, but if I was, I'd have no problems getting it from Sweetwater.
I saw it. Weird addition to the front of a catalog for a big retailer. Even though they cost a lot, Foderas aren't high-markup, big profit items. If Sweetwater wanted to appear more sophisticated and hi-end by displaying that kind of thing, it worked in my book. I buy a ton of stuff from Sweetwater though, and enjoy seeing them carry the line.

I am waiting for a Fodera to be built. I did in fact purchase through Sweetwater in December. No complaints here so far. Just counting the months waiting for it... I was told by my Sweetwater sales Rep that mine will take 6 months. Very difficult trying to maintain calm and remain patient.
My YYS was 8.5 lbs, my YYD is 8.8 lbs, some of the Monarch standard Ps were close to 8 lbs even. There have been Emperor 6s that have been under 10 lbs as well, which is good for a 6.
They don't chase light weight like Sadowsky does, but if that's your main criteria, then there's a builder for that...

Buddy of mine that filled in on drums for us few times moved out there to work in sales for sweetwater. His name is Nick Tamez and hes also been playing bass for at least 15 years that I know of. If you're gonna order from sweetwater ask for him. Great down to earth guy and very talented musician. I'm a preferred member and buy pretty much all my new gear from sweetwater unless it's a brand they don't carry because all our local stores pretty much just carry beginner gear.
So I don't expect you see the new Fodera pic on the Sweetwater site listing its actual weight and place an order. You order the Fodera and hope it's light? Or ask what the weight is on a used bass elsewhere (like here on TB) ...
Just got a GK cab, as well as a catalog, from Sweetwater. Yes, if I remember correctly... more mass produced, than the standard, which will keep those more... 'affordable'. I didn't check 'affordable' price, though.
My thoughts exactly. It looked like a display of sophistication since a lot of us can identify the brand and know the reputation, even if we have never played and can't afford one.
A lot of variety represented, from the $4K to the $14K models.
