SWR 2X10T Workingman's Bass Cab

I checked a couple older FS listings and that appears to be the going price. It was not a top-of-the-line SWR offering and, from what I've gleaned, doesn't go head-to-head with their Goliath series. I'd offer $75-80 if you're really interested and working with budget constraints. Otherwise, I'd save up some extra dough and buy something nicer.

Might not be a bad deal depending on its designated target (gig-worthy, rehearsal space, bedroom rig). Do you have an amp?

I have a 200w genzbenz 210+t combo, but I am looking to build a decent rig. Probably an ampeg SVT3 PRO. But I don't want to cut corners, and ultimately want a 4x10 anyways. I would get it if it was a stupid good deal, but again I don't want to cut corners. I think it's a pass for now.
If you can find a matching cab, and chain them, you can have 10" speakers stacked four-high.
This is an increasingly popular variant on 410 cabs not only because the modular nature makes for an easier load-out, but you get sound closer to your ear-holes that way. Makes a big diff on stage in hearing yourself, as opposed to blasting your pants leg with a standard 4.x10
Honestly, I have learned not to settle for things that you aren't in love with. I really don't have a use. Don't gig as a bassist,already have a somewhat OK practice amp, and I will go the Ampeg SVT3 PRO and a matching 4x10 when the time is right.
Also, it's not a need, and space is already tight.
my observations about stacking two 2x10s remain relevant regardless. Happy gear hunting, it is the fun part. And you're quite right, no use buying dust catchers, even if cheap.
i do agree about that, but tbh, i have over 40 electric guitars between two places and 20ish big tube amps, with 9 4x12"s and a handfull of other cabs. no room for something i don't need. the ampeg will do what i want, get the tone i want, when the time is right. i have a feeling you know what i mean.

You know what bro, I have a scheduled rotation to some degree. I have some go-too guitars and some case queens. Its generally either my weathered in Gibson LP, a USA Jackson Soloist, or a USA Charvel So-cal. They are the ones that go out the most. I have teles and Strats and semis too that get regular time on them.
I watched my friend Boomer play about 4 hours rehearsal, and his dentist/guitarist, a superior player with a huge stable made possible by crowns and fillings, changed up every two songs. He played some Joe Satriani Custom Shop guitar that blew them all away for tone and musicality and cut and everything. You got that one?
I am not a fan of the Ibanez S-Series but I have four Ibanez Prestige JCraft RG's. They fit me better dimention wise than the Satch guitars.
It was end of the gig, four hours of EQ'ing and he hit the ultimate sweet spot of the night... That could explain the win as much as the axe itself. And of course ergonomics rule, and that's so personal.
I agree with @Son of Wobble about a pair of 2x10s, stacked vertically, having many advantages over a 4x10 box. And if space is an issue, it has a smaller footprint than a 4x10.
Yeah, it's worth it for $100. They were decent cabinets. I have the older (red-lettered) version of that cabinet and I think I paid $200 for it in 1997. I don't think you'll find anyone getting rid of them for under $100.
You can make money with them - mine was paid for multiple times before I retired it in favour of a more exotic cabinet.
