I plan to add the SoB and Jr III to my Bass 350 and Goliath III.
:D This gives combinations to cover ALL occasions:

(III + Jr III + SoB) = 450 watts @ 2 ohms
(Jr III + SoB) = 400 watts @ 2.67 ohms
(Jr III) or ( III + SoB) = 350 watts @ 4 ohms
(III) or (SoB) = 240 watts @ 8 ohms

The range of brightness and bottom, plus portability of the smaller cabs, means all bases (Basses?) are covered.

I just fininshed an outdoor gig with my SWR Rig and everyone, including me, thought the sound was great. I use a SM 900 with a 4x10 and 1x15 run in the bridged mono mode. I like a tight punchy yet warm sound that cuts through the mix. I love the SWR line, obviously, but I would strongly recommend the SM 500-900 heads for the tube preamps and tone. I hated the solid state heads I tried.
Good luck.

I realise I'm waaaaay late with this reply, but I'll back that one up! I have this combo running off my Bass 350 for a 2 ohm load. It's a bit of a squeeze for headroom - You've just gotta make sure you do NOT defeat the limiter! Ultimately I'd love to pick up another cheap 2nd-hand 350 to use as a power amp (I love the amp, it just needs a bit more headroom) - so if anyone's got a spare one that runs off 240W voltage and doesn't mind shipping to New Zealand, drop me a line ;).

Cheers

I actually own a 2x12 (The Silverado Special 350 W) with a 1x15 (Son of Bertha) Extension. It Sounds AMAZING. I find that the the 12" speakers do a good job of capturing the Mids and highs while the 15" grabs the lows nicely. Both of these cabinets have tweeters also if you need some of those sparkling highs (good for funky slappin').

Hi Geezer,
I also use a Silverado Special! IMHO it sounds OK as a standalone but you've got me thinking about an ext. cab. What does the Son of Bertha adds in terms of volume, overall sound compared to standalone use? Thanks.

Werner.

Well, the SOB that I had was 8 ohm, so the output was boosted slightly (400 watts) but the biggest difference was more low end. I have since gotten rid of the SOB and picked up a 2x10 w/ a tweeter and I like it even more. The 12's now handle the lows and the 10's capture the highs & mids.

Yes this is a good price I sold mine for 500 bucks the first day the ad was in print. I paid 1,100.00 for mine when it was brand new. Make sure the horn works and if you can, take a flashlight and inspect the cones for creasing.
