Ok. I have a SWR WP 700 paired with a Fender Rumble 410 cabinet. I have been incredibly pleased with the tone. However, I'm not getting the volume that I think should be coming from the combo. The Fender is 4 ohms and is rated at 500 continous watts (1000 watts program). The SWR is 700 watts @ 4 ohms, 450 @ 8 ohms. Is it just the cabinet or do I need to do something in particular with the amp to get optimal volume?

SWR Workingpro 700 and Fender Rumble 410

Fender refuses to publish the specs on the RUMBLE 410 cab, I have one and it is noticeably less sensitive than my old SWR Goliath Jr. II. I also find it very boxy sounding and it takes a lot of EQ to sort things out. The tweeter is very harsh with 3 settings full, -6db, and off, and the 10" drivers have a terrible midrange voice that lacks definition and punch. For a cheap Jam or garage band it's ok. But for the working musician, keep looking.
