SX bridge replacement

I just got an SX fretless and really think i'm going to like it. While it is not an immediate problem I may change the bridge some day. Are there direct rplacements that would be a good upgrade or does it mean new holes?

Gotoh do a bridge that will fit IIRC........the II model or similar.

Any bridge that is a direct replacement for the standard 5 hole Fender/Fender style bridge will fit with no extra holes or mods.

I like the Wilkinson myself.

I replaced mine with a Gotoh 201 and it's a perfect fit.

But the problem is that the SX bridges are seven holes, so you'll either have to live with two holes with no screws or drill two additional holes. But it's really no big deal.

If you use a standard 5 hole Fender bridge, or equivilent, the two extra holes from the SX bridge, are covered by the new bridge. It looks just like a factory installation.


I'll post a picture of my Wilkinson Bridge on my SX if you can't picture what I'm talking about.

Good to know the standard 5 holer works. That's what it looked like but i wanted to be sure.
