SX (Essex) Andromeda...

So, I'm a little confused. If the Andromeda headstock is a safe option to avoid lawsuits and that sort of thing, why not replace the pointy headstock (that only looks good with the jag IMO) on all of the basses? Wouldn't be the best headstock they've ever had, but I'm sure sales would go back up and we'd start seeing a few pages of basses again. That pointy headstock obviously lost Kurt a fair amount of sales (from bass players anyways). I mean, I doubt he's going under or anything, but still.

Maybe not, idk, just a thought I had earlier that sounded reasonable. What do you guys think? O o

Well that's interesting, but what I was saying still applies. The site is the sole distributor and has no where near the SX stock that it used to. when the new head stocks were coming out, bassists annnnd guitarists were like "ugh". The Andromeda headstock isn't half bad. Be it Kurt or Team International, seems like a solid move to make that headstock standard issue in my opinion.

try ordering from Europe they have the fender style headstock.

I have to admit that the goofy SX headstock, along with the recent quality from Squier makes me unwilling to buy another SX.

Yeah, right. My sensibilities are so offended by the Ursa headstock so I just emailed Kurt and told him to cancel my account!

But given that I now own nine SX I guess I don't need anymore...

Anyway, my bandsaw took care of any of my offended sensibilities!

And I know it's a small thing, but the agathis wood in my Squier P makes me prefer my SX with real tonewood.

It's OK if you have different aesthetic interpretation than I do.

I don't know that it's so different! I'm really not kidding about the bandsaw! All my Ursa have the "dixiecup" mod.

I was kidding about cancelling my Rondo account, however... :)

PS. Rest of bass seen in avatar.
