SX versus Jazz bass necks.

You must have never had the PJ. That thing is like a baseball bat.

By the way if anyone wants a defretted SX jazz neck, let me know. The finish was also stripped and it's been under my couch for a year. But it'll go out in the dumpster soon.

Nope, just a regular P. I have no need/want for a J pickup.

Now the new 50's Classic Vibe Fender I played recently had a big ol neck on it. I tend to like big necks and said "whoa, now that's a big fat neck"

I'll take it. I always have a few projects in the back of my head and I can find a use for that one. Happy to pay for the shipping. Not for the whole dumpster of course. :D

I'm currently in the process of re-carving an SX J bass neck (short scale). There's a lot of wood behind the rosewood fingerboard and the fingerboard is also quite thick.

I'm re-carving it the basic narrow dimensions of the Vox Hawk IV from the '60s but with a soft V profile and I'll be maintaining most of the original thickness in the middle for stability (for now).
