Synonymous Basses with Bassists

Geddy Less and the Jazz (duh)
Bootsy Collins and his Space Bass
Mike Dirnt P Bass
some guy on tv and his warwick corvette 5

lol i can't think of any good ones right now. i guess the bootsy collins is a unique call

I always picture bassists like this:

Cliff and his Aria Pro (rarely the Ric, which is odd because I wanted a Ric for a long time because he played one).
Tom Aray - black Mockingbird
Geddy - Actually I picture his black Wal, not his signature P. Accept when I hear "Free Will" which always brings a Ric to mind :)
Steve Harris - P Bass, has he EVER played anything else?
Geezer Butler - Black Spector or the Ric he was playing in the live video for Snowblind.
Sean Yseult - Ibanez Iceman
Steve DiGiorgio - Green ESP fretless

The guy i first think of is Jack Bruce and his Gibson even though he probably hasnt touched one in ages.

There's a picture in the Klaus Basquiz book 'The Fender Bass' of Jack Bruce playing a Fender VI baritone bass. He is one of the only famous people to play that thing, Iperhaps one of the only people period, so I do a reverse association - when I think of Fender VI, I think of Jack Bruce.

Entwistle and his "Fender-birds"

Thunderbird bodies and buckers with Fender necks

Funny, I just today found a 1974 Guitar Player magazine that I had stashed away a long time ago, with an interview with Entwistle. When he heard Thunderbirds were about to go out of production, he bought ten of them from Manny's.

Specifically, I think of the one that had a spider's web drawn on it. Ah, somebody had to be subtle in that band...

Buy the way...in case you didn't get it...I MADE THESE NAMES UP!...Besides LBanks, RogerBMiller, and Myself I don't know anyone who actually plays Wishbass :bawl: :bawl:

I can't wait 'til someone famous makes a Wish his sig bass...then I'll sell mine for LOTS OF MONEY! :D :D

Bad news fellas. I liquidated my wishes. That phase has come and gone. I still think they are dope but I am not sure if I can bet on them still working in the long haul.
