Synth Pedals: Which has better tracking, Future Impact or CY Synth ?

Having both the FI and C4 I say they are more complimentary than overlapping. At least one of the 'patch gods' is very active in each community. I'm a long way from be a patch ace but on the surface of things, the FI natively does Moog very well, the C4 does the best ARP i've ever heard... and I had previously been chasing Chameleon since Headhunters was released on vinyl... no longer chasing... Minor tweaks to @Kesselari 's Chameleon patch and voila ... those tweaks were probably more to do with different basses and hand techniques than anything else.

I've had the FI since it came out. Purchased a C4 this year. The FI was updated to V.3 a few months ago, which resulted in a noticeable improvement in tracking. It is on par with the C4 IMO. Both are the two best synth pedals available. But a lot of C4 patches in the community are made for guitar, since it is not a bass-specific pedal like the FI. Those do not track well in the lower register. In terms of latency, I don't notice any on either pedals. I use the FI more than the C4 because I'm partial to moog-like patches, which the FI excels in.

I was gonna write a comment, but you've eloquently made all of the points I would have. Totally agree! I have both and prefer the FIv3. The C4 is a great pedal though! I just find the FI more usable. I control them with a Morningstar MC6.

Having a look around and trying some software solutions myself, I'm more inclined towards a dedicated midi hardware pickup. Roland makes one, but looks only their synth and Boss's can use it :|

Hi. Now being an owner of C4 I'm actually wondering is there any technical difficulty for C4 to:
1. produce midi notes based on already detected pitch
2. receive midi notes (as most of the synthesizers do)
3. have Neuro Desktop as the VST

Technically this could be done, but it is beyond the scope of the pedal. Someday!
