First I will get myself the MicroKorg. And a bit later a nice expander/sequencer.
The Electribe BRIANROST suggested is currently not available in any store/online store here.. there's another version of the Electribe on Ebay right now, but I think without Audio Inputs.

All others Electribes available here cost about 600-700 Euros and that's TOO much.

edit: or maybe should I look at the Alesis Micron.. It is some $ more, but has got a sequencer in it.

i'll be biased towards the microkorg for sure. but i've heard great things about the alesis micron, AND if it has a sequencer that you are looking for that might be the call for you. bottom line: TRY BOTH OUT if you can. if you can't i doubt you'd be unhappy with either.

and maybe someone can clarify, does the micron have full size keys or are they smaller like the microkorg? if the keys are full size i'd say go with the micron as it would seem to satisfy all your requirements.

The Micron does have full sized keys. It is really a toss up between the Micron and MicroKorg. I prefer the MicroKorg. It has smaller keys, a vocoder with built-in mic, nice retro look, great tone, and easier interface. The Micron has fewer knobs, but they are fully programmable. The Micron also has fantastic tone. You really have to try out both. I don't think you can lose either way.

+1 for a yamaha rm1x
it's asequencer with lots of kick ass 90's techno sounds in it.
Just sold mine on ebay for $125

if you can afford it, however, a laptop+software is how they do it now.
