Tal use compression on live performances?

A couple of questions about Tal's setup in live situations:

Does she use a compressor?

What is the box on top of her EBS amps (noticed on the Ronnie Scotts DVD)?

Well the EBS amps she uses--they have a compression capability. Whether she actually uses it, probably a little bit.

Yep, quite a few people use what would be considered a studio DI for live work. I do.

A flat out ton people use 'em as their live DI.

Not just bassists either. You seem them all over the place in guitar rigs for a DI'd signal from a reamp box.

I used to use one into a QSC PLX power amp and obviously as my DI as well. It was a great rig if you want a really clear and clean signal.

+1 to the above. Tal kind of copped Marcus' rig (at least what he was using at that time). TD650 and a couple of EBS410's for stage monitoring, and an Avalon U5 to the front of house.
