Talk Me Out of It (700 RB)

The one pawnshop in town that doesn't overprice year has a very clean GK 700RB for $180. Everything works, and it sounds great.

I don't really need it, as the tone from my Music Man HD150 is good and it's loud enough. However, I kind of want it... Just because.

The fact that the store has layaway makes it worse.

Buy it and use it?
Buy it and try to turn a profit?
Walk away and be happy?
Hope someone else buys it?

Buy it. They sound awesome and they have a unique character that other amps don't. Definitely worth having in the arsenal.

One of the best amps out there at a third off their regular cost. I can't believe we are even having this conversation.

It's on my short list as well. I have an RB400 and absolutely love it.

Just buy it. It's always nice to have a backup amp. I have a 700rb II and a 400rb. Both bought locally here at good prices.

I'm always looking for more cheap GK gear just cause they're awesome workhorse amps. Looking to by the new fusion this year, hunting for an 800rb, also want one of those old 200rcb with chorus too. Why? Just cause hahaha

Definitely buy it. I always look for cheap good quality gear that I can find useful myself or eventually turn around for some sort of profit.

Just kidding, they're both excellent, and a steal at that price - even used they typically go for closer to $300 in good condition. Trust me, I've owned and gigged 3 of them!

I'm pretty sure it's going on layaway today to at least buy me some time. (I just bought a bunch of other stuff) If I decide to not buy it, or don't need it, I definitely will.

I'm done with obsolescence like that. Class D, my friend. Much easier to transport/ resell/ fit in your vehicle etc.
