TalkBass App To Be REMOVED/DELETED [security concerns]

Miss the mobile app a lot. I have alerts set in preferences for watched threads, but am only alerted about 20% of the time. This is allowing me to save too much money. I don't want to die with a pocket full of cash.

Not sure if this is the cause, but be aware you have to actually visit a thread, after you get an alert for it, if you are to receive any more alerts for that thread.

Do you have push notifications enabled?

Great News! Pushbullet just released an update that allows iOS users to launch links in Safari. I just tested it--seamless.

I'll cross-post this if it hasn't been noted in the pushbullet thread!

Just got the notice too. Great! Hopefully pushbullet stays free :). They're doing much better than Pushover it seems.

Is there a way of replacing the "trending" button with the "watched threads" button?

Still had some that weren't being alerted, but went through and unwatched then set the watch again. Why it worked is beyond my pay grade, but it seems to be working. Thanks.

I used the Ap 99% of the time. Hit a button on my main screen and I was up an in touch with my favorites and it was a breeze. Now, what a pain. Sorry but this is a huge step backwards in user experience. I wouldn't care if I sat in front of a computer all day, but its all mobile for me these days. You may have lost me and hundreds like me.

I miss the app also. But I just bookmarked a link to the watched threads page and placed that as an icon on my phone. I can now open the browser and go directly to the threads I am involved in in one click. From there new posts are a click away.

For me the transition from app to mobile has been quite easy.

I visit TB almost exclusively using an iPad or iPhone and have zero problems using a browser for that. I frankly don't see what all the hubbub is about. My TB bookmark takes me to the Watched Threads page, can't be easier.

True. The only inconvenience is that the app had the side menu for navigation was more convenient than scrolling to the top of the page to navigate. Otherwise it is all good.

For some reason, Pushbullet isn't pushing ANY notifications from TB to either my laptop or my Android. Perhaps its because my account won't stay logged into the forum unless I leave my browser open? Has anybody else been having issues?

Are you certain pushbullet is set up in your external accounts page? Being logged in to tb has no bearing on push notifications.

Just dedicate a tab for it on your browser (I use Chrome) and click on that instead of the App. At most it's 2 clicks instead of 1 ... not too biggie of a D
