Talkbass Band Videos

Hi,

That's the first time I've seen someone try to approximate the weird sound effects in that song. Good job! Is that some kind of Theremin device on your keyboard? That was a very faithful cover of that song. Fun stuff! :)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

That's a synth/eye setting that acts a little bit like a theramin, or at least is a pretty good stand-in for this particular song.

Hi,

Very tight with the tempo changes and different sections of the songs, very technical and well done. I usually don't enjoy this genre but you put some thought into your music and made it interesting to listen to. Even your choreography was fun to watch, not overdone or hokey, and the set had a good pace. I enjoyed the way you kicked off "Friday Night". It was a good mix too. Cool.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Cliff,

Thanks for taking time to watch. I appreciate the kind words.

If you're interested in checking out the studio versions of these songs they all available to stream or download (free) here: http://www.MeetAtSundown.bandcamp.com

This was the last show we played before our guitar player moved to FL. We made an effort to find a replacement, but nothing came of it. Obviously the music isn't terrible technical so we really needed the right personality to fit and we didn't find it. The guitar player has since moved back to our area but we decided to stay retired.

A clip from my previous band called InsideOut. This was our second ever gig together. In fact we only met the guitarist ,Robi, the night before at our first ever gig. Prior to these gigs the 3 of us had been jamming for 4 to 5 weeks with another guitarist who quit right before the first gig. So please forgive us for any flubbing (especially me near the beginning of the song).

Nice editing and sound fidelity on this video. Looks like you had 4 or 5 cameras on this shoot if it was shot in real time.?

Yes, this is very well done. Good production on the video/audio. That looks like a nice venue.

Hi,

You guys are nutz! I was gonna say it looked like you all forgot to shave before the gig. ;)

I dig how you are able to pull off the song in those masks, hardly able to see your fretboards. I think it's a cool idea for a schtick. The hat pulls it all together. ;)

Seriously though, that was fun. :bassist:

Thank you for your indulgence,

Thanks, BassCliff! That's about the only song we can do with the masks on, haha. Partly because those songs are just E and D and not much moving around and partly cuz it's too damn hot in there! I don't know how those Slipknot guys do it.

Thanks for YOUR indulgence! ;)

Hi,

I posted a video before this of my bands reunion show, here is a video of a show from a show 15 years earlier.

Lots of energy there! You guys had the crowd in a frenzy.

I must be getting old. I'd rather play for lovely young ladies dressed in Daisy Dukes. ;)
