I'd take a guess that is on the high side a little but not too outrageous .

I have a Framus Strato. Medium scale, 2 pups, lightweight. A nice sounding German made bass. They are not as appreciated in the USA as they are overseas. I paid $150US for mine. I think I paid a lot less than it is worth. Also picked up a Framus Atlantic for the same price. Outside the US they are selling for what you are looking at.

In Europe, Framus guitars and basses average between 300 - 800 Euros and more depending on the model. The Charlie Watt bass is very sought after.

Thanks for the info. I fell in love with the huge headstock and nice tone. There is another strato bass on ebay for 420€. This one is slightly distressed and has a missing cover. I'll try to negotiate on both and see if they are willing to lower the price.
