Tape Over Logos

I have a Babicz bridge and totally love it but I definitely covered the logo.

I own a Bergantino CN410 and one day the badge (really just a vinyl decal) fell off it. I liked so much better that I left it off.

I tape over my amp and cab badges. If I was endorsing someone then I wouldn't. It's not practical for me to tape over my Fender decals. It'd look a little too weird for my tastes. The amps and cabs are more subtle.

I do not have seen anyone blurring out car brands, as one poster said before, you can see it anyway, by the overall design.

I have, and it's amusing to me because a lot of us know what kind of car it is without seeing the emblem.

I have no logos on mine to tape over. I guess I forgot to put them on when I built the basses.

If I had your ability to build (I assume the bass in your avatar is a build of yours), I'd definitely design a logo for it.

For sure it’s an easy fix whether it’s decal or a plate frame. By the time I get home from any car dealership, it’s like insult on top of injury, so yeah I get bent.

I didn't have any special ability other than wanting a boutique bass and being unable to afford it. I learned as I went. I have under a grand in my 6 string. I thought about coming up with a logo, but could not come up with anything I liked.

I probably should but my car's already got more than enough duct tape all over it just trying to hold everything together.

It sure as heck does seem like things have changed. The whole bass playing thing used to be about working hard, doing a ton of gigs, and making an effort to play well. I know it’s tough to find places to play now, but it just seems like everybody’s most concerned about how many 10% above dealer cost arrangements they can get. Actually playing the bass is some sort of bothersome afterthought.

I guess that I’d be cooler with it if I didn’t get a half-dozen guys telling me about the endorsements they have when I go to a club. I’d be even cooler with it if 6 out of those half-dozen guys weren’t lying about it.

Same thing goes for this forum, too....

Really? Because I haven't seen much of that on here. Seen a lot of people "unofficially" claiming them or putting what gear they use in their sigs, but usually it's pretty obvious when it's not for reals.

For example, I recommend and play Reverend basses. I " endorse " them .
They are kind enough to give me a discount on gear I purchase from them.
But I'm not endorsed...
I also play Status and Music Man basses as well as Markbass.
I recommend (endorse) their products also (unofficially, as I don't get any form of discount or compensation)
I know it's like being pissed off at people for typing "your" instead of "you're" and "there" instead of " their" . It's kind of petty on my part, but I'm in a mood tonight

Whether or not people understand that the musician is the endorser, and the manufacturer the endorsee ; it's still called an endorsement deal.

Arguably it's a symbiotic endorsement, as unless the manufacturer sees the attraction in the musician, they're not going to strik a deal with said musician to reward their continued endorsement (which is the manufacturer's form of endorsing the musician).
