Tapewound problem

Just installed the Daddario nylon tapewound for long scale.
It feels great, but the silk core goes almost all the way to the first fret while in tune.

Anyone had that problem? Any solution?

No experience with D'Addario tapes.
I use LaBellla & GHS tapes long scale with no issues.

Are you sure they were longscale strings? Are you sure your bass is long scale? What bass is it?

Is your instrument strung through the body?

Is your instrument 35" scale?

If yes to any of these questions, you need the super long set of strings.

If the scale of string is right for the bass, they shouldn't do that. I've a few sets of these tapes & haven't that in any regular 34" scale bass.
