There are too many but my favorite 'taste' players would include, Roscoe Beck, Lee Sklar, and whoever it was who played on the duet tune (name eludes me) with Bonnie Raitt and Delbert McClinton I just heard on the radio yesterday. There is also this guy I know in Santa Fe who is the bassist for Ottmar Liebert(flamenco guitar), his name is Jon Gagan and he is just fabulous.

Yo Check out some live Kraan and you will hear just how nut's Helmutt can get. You can sample a great live tune "Nam NAm" at the Near East festival site.

That would be Bruce Thomas. I LOVE this guy's playing!

Colin Moulding from XTC is also a very tasty player that doesn't get a whole lot of attention.

The Stax bassman I believe was Donald "Duck" Dunn for much of that stuff like Green Onions. Great Player.
