That being said - I love the footswitch idea - but you have to do something better with the placement or the switch titles to make it really work long term - since it's a humorous piece - it should be humorous to everyone (at least musicians)
What about - "awesome" and "suck" because we always joke about hitting the suck button. Your's would simply be on your foot.
Nice compass rose - but I'm not wild about the ram though - seems like it needs some detail.

To be honest, none of your work is my cup of tea. That's not to say that it isn't well done, because they all look nice and clean, just not my style. I'm sure a lot of people would say the same about mine. I asked if you had any already because typically, people who get funny/joke tattoos for their first ink usually end up with something that looks really ********. But if you are already a collector, then I'm all for funny tattoos. I'm still trying to decide what I want for a joke tattoo and where... So if you're into it, then nobody can really tell you no.
*edit* I actually really like the compass rose, it has just enough detail without looking cluttered.

well, i got it for the original reason behind it. the north star. i am a sailor after all. the compass and the star are a pair.
Kinda reminds me of a photo of Rahzel (the beatboxer) that I saw once. It was a photo-shopped image of himself and he had a little on/off switch on his neck and a few dials here and there. Also had an input jack in his palm where he could plug in his mic and start making beats

and to be perfectly honest i think that the switch idea is really bad. its REALLY gonna hurt for one, its gonna be a pain in the arse to heal properly and I don't think it will translate well as a tattoo.
just my 0.02
on feet, with socks and shoes and all that, you run the risk of rubbing and smudging the ink, unless you don't wear footwear anywhere...
...and you enjoy getting infections

unless you're stupid and get it done at a dirty shop, or don't take care of your tattoo, at least in the healing stage, there's little risk of infection..
The thing is that taking care of a foot tattoo involves not walking around in bare feet... if you do thatwhile its healing anything on the ground can kick up into it, making it really easy to get an infection. Socks and shoes are the way to go, as its covered that way. If the ink is actually in the skin its not going to smudge, the worst thats going to happen is a light spot or two where it can come out, but that can happen anywhere.
