TB dread heads

I hear ya... if this was around during the early 90's, I would have more to contribute than just a memory... Granted I had dreads for more than just a couple months...

mine were cut without my approval . I let it grow back to dbl the length, had it like that (undreaded)for 5 years and then cut completely short to migrate south.

I've always considered getting dreads, since I already have hair down to around the middle of my back. But I'm afraid that I'm gonna look like a complete ass and not be able to go back, so no Rob Zombie-style dreads for me just yet.

Ive thought about it, but it would be too much work with my hair type and Im about as low maintainence as it gets.

Hey...my friend who I used to do reggae dubs with wrote a song about his dreads. You can hear it at Invalid Link Removed It is the one called "Grow Your Dreadlocks" . I helped with some of it.

i had em for a couple months over the summer but had to cut them because no matter how much good smelling beeswax i put on them or how much i soaped them, they always smelled like wet dog... boy was the hair dresser surprised when i came in with them. i didnt shave em completely so i had to comb out an inch and a half of locked hair and i almost started crying it hurt so much!

Grown them a couple of times. They get too frizzy on me though (not into the whole beeswax thing).

i have very dreadable hair (whitey fro) but i chose not to. I think my hair is outrageous enough as it is, and dreads would make people stick their nose up at me even more.

I had my hair in braids 2 weeks ago it looked pretty badass. I hate not being able to wash it though. Plus, it itches.
