TB equivalent for live sound

Being a former participant at both Pro Sound Web (live audio board) and Soundforums.net (and I still peruse both, I just don't participate like I used to), these two places are the best all-around places to go. You'll spend literally months going through the various sections of both forums and you have the top industry guys participating there. As well as some incredibly smart, incredibly opinionated, and incredibly cranky folks that in spite of what that looks like, are incredibly willing to share their knowledge and experience. Just be sure to use the search function for your questions first before posting. And when you register, USE YER REAL NAME! "MidasXL4" will get you called out really quickly...:roflmao:

The Bill Fitzmaurice is a good place to visit, but it's focus is, from what I've read, is pretty focused on speaker cabinet building, something I've never had an interest in. It's a great place for that kind of info, no doubt.

I will concur on all the above... PSW is by far the best place to learn and get feedback from very talented, experienced and knowledgeable (and yes, even the snarky) folks !!
You can learn a LOT !

The BFM forum I found to be not helpful on non-BFM topics. Same with green boy's site to a lesser extent but that may be just reflective of a smaller population. PSW has been the most helpful. I tend to read there a lot more than post and when I post, I try for a level of clarity that will de-incentify the snarky... I also try not to take the bait when one of the idiot but well regarded regulars goes off topic... I need to investigate the PSW 'ignore' feature. It works wonderfully well here...

The PSW site is definitely not backyard / block party PA friendly... The orientation is really small sound company operators and bar bands with significant level of complexity.
