TB pinball enthusiasts?

Absolutely a pinball freak, back in the day I used to go to a bar on saturdays with my gramps when I was about 6 or 7 years old and they had a couple pinball machines and I was in awe! I played all day long sometimes and into the night...

Nice looking game!

On some pinballs you can disable the "replay knocker" in the setup menus. Otherwise check the wiring at the knocker coil lugs. Sometimes the coil is in the backbox, sometimes in the main cabinet. That game is vintage and will have a real knocker, not a virtual one that's emulated as a sound effect.

If the coin mechs are present and intact, it's usually just some fiddly adjustment to get them working again. They have springs, weights, and a leaf switch. If the coin is the correct weight etc. it passes through and trips that switch. If everything seems to be right, you might just need to clean the contacts on the leaf switch. Slide a business card or piece of manila folder between the contacts, hold them together gently, and move the card in and out a few times.

Is that right flipper stuck?
Great breakdown!
A crisp dollar bill also works really well to clean those contacts...

My record on this machine is 188, but this wasn't bad, considering the sticking left flipper and the crane getting in the way (it's broken, so once it starts you can't stop it)

My fave modern table!

Spent very long hours but relatively few quarters on that one.

Fed a lot of quarters into that one, back in the day.

My personal favorite was this one.

The first pinball machine I ever played was a Williams electromechanical called Dew-Wa-Ditty. Ever since that day I've always preferred Williams games. I know the later Bally games were made by Williams but I still prefer the Williams-branded games. They just have something the other brands are missing.

Man that machine is the holy grail for us KISS fans.

I'm decidedly NOT a KISS (band) fan in the slightest but the pinball is really, really fun. Me and a buddy have been playing a ton of it lately (and again here in a few minutes for a tournament); I was wondering aloud if a band I really like was every going to get a pinball. I mean, I like AC/DC, admire Aerosmith, and have no interest in the other bands that have pinballs. Turns out someone at Stern bugged the bar and heard me. Look at what just came out:

Can't wait to see & play that! Unless it's a turd (unlikely), they're gonna sell a whole bunch of those.
