I love how pinball machines are not only FUN, but are works of art and reflect their era.
In the case of Space Invaders, plagiarized works of art. As in Bally was sued by H.R. Geiger and lost and had to settle.
The rumor mill says they sold out of the 1,000 Limited Editions in a few hours at 11 grand a pop.

Well Rush broke already. Always nice to know the good folks at Stern are keeping an increasing eye on QC. I posted a teaser pic on a local pinball group along with some of my more "profitable words": Will ever-raising prices and quality compromises shatter the illusion of pintegrity? Yeah. I wonder if the $12,000 "Collectors Editions" use the same garbage components? Probably, since half of the 1000 sold (in two hours) will sit unopened in the "collections" of speculators. Neil called it!

Almost makes me glad I don't have the room for a pinball machine, because that one would have been sorely tempting.
