All famous acts are note worthy. However, some are because of their talent, and some because of their "shtick" (we the rare exception having both.....i.e. David Bowie or Elton John or GaGa).

Kanye is noteworthy because of his "shtick". To some extent, so is KISS. Any bar band I have ever been in could have written and/or played their songs. But they earned a spot in music history because of their act. I would argue that had they written the exact same songs and played them in jeans and flannel shirts we would have never known who they were. Just my thoughts.

I understand that some Kiss albums were good. And then they were not. Then they were ok. Then they were not. That's not ignorance in any way. It's also not fickle or cynical. It's an opinion based on my tastes and age at the time the albums came out. The Fox really soured the whole thing for me even though Eric is a fine player.

Sitting there Saturday morning watching Kids are People Too waiting for this big announcement and then learning your favorite guy was out. Later I appreciated Paul ane Gene. Like the band I have evolved over 47 years.
