how exactly are you recording (kind of mic and placement etc...)

All of what's up was recorded on my ZOOM H1, with the most recent ones (with the exception of the piano solo excerpt) it was sitting on the flat edge of the music shelf on the piano (you open the lid and there's this section you can slide off if you don't want to use the foldy up music stand, does that make sense?) sort of facing away from the piano soundboard. One element is kind of angled towards me and the drums, the other kind of towards the soundboard and the tenor.
Sorry, I don't remember; are we TFF (Totally Facebook Friends)? There's a picture of the room in which we play in my album JOE'S STUDIO, it may give you a better idea of how we set up. It's all acoustic, we're pretty close to each other....
