One more interesting fact about the Defiant... it's not made in China. (like the Dingwall)

It's made in South Korea, so if Chinese politics leaves you a little uneasy, the defiant is a better ethical choice

I believe the vast majority of dingwalls are made in Canada. They did recently begin making some models in China, but the dingwalls that have made the brand what it is are made in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

But when I looked at one, the pickups (Bartolini licensed but made by Ibanez even though they say "Bartolini" on them) were just not up to scratch at all.

Anyone got suggestions for replacements? Everything else about this bass is lovely, apart from the pups.
