Hello all,

I just picked up a TB600 but it didn't come with a footswitch. I would like to be able to mute and add the amp distortion via a footswitch if possible. I've contacted Fender who said that they do not have a schematic for this footswitch (how do you not have a schematic of a product you built?) and sent me some random 4 button footswitch schematic to shut me up. Obviously Fender doesn't sell them anymore and I've followed up on any leads I could find online to buy one new, used, not working, etc. I thought i could build the footswitch for the TBP-1 preamp and that might work, but unfortunately it didn't.

Leaning on the experiences and knowledge of the forum, Here are a few questions I'm hoping to answer:

Does anyone have a schematic for the TBFS-4 footswitch?
Would a ULT-4 footswitch (or any other footswitch) work for a TB600?

Thanks for your help!

You might try the[Invalid or Expired Link Removed], there are a few longtime Fender warranty providers over there.

The schematic for the amp itself is readily available online, so reverse engineering is at least a possibility. I had a look and found that switching control is microcontroller-based by the CY8C24223A chip. If you can find another Fender that uses that chip you may be able to source a different switch to either use or reverse engineer. Fender often liked to use resistor and/or diode ladders in their footswitches. They tend to be fairly specific and just subbing something randomly might not end so well.

The actual switching is done by relays and a good tech might be able to break out a couple of functions that way too. Best of luck, this isn't the easiest job unfortunately.

You're awesome! Thanks for the advice. I'll start researching the chip as well as check out the Music Electronics forum.

After looking around online. I ended up contacting Fender directly. They still had 19 in stock at the time. This was about a year ago. Just throwing out there in case you still didn't find one yet. BTW, great combo .
