options were based on the comments from the first thread as well as carryovers from my original list. again, two beatle albums make the list. I tried to keep it pretty diversified, but unlike the first one, this was more focused on ensuring we capture anything we missed regardless of year or genre. I am suspecting alot of Rush votes.

i know, i know. I left off Bill Evans Trio. I ran out of poll options. i guess I could have dropped off Muse, but then there wouldnt be enough newer stuff.

It's OK. I promise not to let it ruin my day. I'm home sick, so I'm holding a private poll and including "Sunday At The Village Vanguard." It's way ahead of Rush at the moment.
Edit: Went ahead and voted for Weather Report, since Wayne and Joe are pretty stout, even though Jaco's, you know, way overrated.)

he is way overrated. i think the industry has changed a lot since then and alot of musicians would not be in a position to put together an album like he did. am i wrong in thinking that?

glad to hear that something is beating rush. maybe we'll sneak bill evans trio in the finals as the wildcard. like the arizona cardinals last year in the super bowl.

This list is alot harder than the last one. The Beatles, Allman Bros., Rush, Stevie...

And without starting a war here, I don't think Jaco's overrated. His solo album was written and played when he was 23/24, and he didn't have a precedent for what he was doing. I can't play like him and I've been listening to that album for years. That being said, I'm not voting for Heavy Weather cause it's not the best album.
