TC BH250 vs BG250-208

I think he meant that even different 15" speakers will or will not work well indifferent cabinets. The volume of the cab and port dimensions are determined by the characteristics of the speaker. That just putting any 15" speaker in an old cab will not likely be optimal. May even damage the speaker, no idea how likely that is.

Hey all:
I took lowclass's advice and cancelled.the legend ca-154. I picked up a true bass cab with a speaker from seismic for @ 169(+ 10% off). I only really play out once or twice a year- with my students at my H.S.'s talent show. I am going to put the older 15 back into it's combo cab and wire it as an extension. That way I can donate it to my school's music dept and even use it if need be for the musicals my wife directs there. Thanks again for some sage advice, I'll post when I hook the tce-bh250 up to the new 15. I am sure it I'll blow away my little marshall combo. Cheers

Hey all here she is with a custom grill cover on the seismic 15. Question: Does the fan on the BH250 seem loud? I am using a 12ga speaker wire with good neutrik connector.

I'm going through this debate before I move across the country next month. I have a first gen BG250 1x12 that I am fond of but my current band is buying from me before I leave. (It's perfect for touring for size and gas)

Now I'm moving and can either get the head or the combo again. There were times that a speaker output would have been handy on the 1x12.

I'm sure that the head sounds great...

Just not sure I want to switch to a head. I always have had combos.

This is the one area where the GK series is winning. Those extension cabs.

What about a BG250-208? Same top, external speaker output, nice small combo for practicing etc.
