If you could pick up a TC Black smith and 2 rs410 cabinets for 1500$ all in would you?

Ive been on the market for new amp and ive considered aguilar tec and tc

I understand jts big and vintagey and somewhat compressed but the price seems killer

Sounds like way more gear than i need but its tempting as all hell

I mostly like the amp just for the built in stuff like tuner etc

Expert advice please? :)

Based on the new market prices, there's no question that the price is great, but only if you have use for a pair of 410s or can sell one or both. If you like the head for the features, consider that new RH450 heads are being blown out new on eBay for 400 bucks in the US. If your needs are small and you want TC, then I'd rather have an RH450 and a 112 cab and 700 in my pocket. YMMV.

I play an F BASS, mostly top 40 music. So my tone is mixed.

Im assuming for most times ill be using only 1 410 rs cabinet.

The head must drive the single cab very well id assume.

My big thing is head room. I hate when amps clip

I just wouldn't want or need an 85 lbs cabinet...

Just musing, the temptation would be to buy it and try to sell the cabinets. But when I think about it that way, looking at the difficulty in moving 410s (have struggled to get a bit more than 35% on new on an Uber410), I could see going through a bunch of crap only getting/netting $300 each for them...so $900 for a used Blacksmith...meh...

I think TCE dropped the price on the RS410 to $459(?) at one point, maybe lower.
