Thanks man! Just did this stacking of these yesterday and it isn't just about having more volume which of course it will do when wanted. BUT just imagine being able to eq both of these amps separately for different cabinet voicings. It's like having a biamped rig....well heck it is....lol. But just started fooling around with that set up yesterday and the results are a total thumbs up. So if ya wanna get a lil crazy.......hehe.....just sayin kidz
Another satisfied, no make that thrilled customer. And by the sound of it up against some pretty stiff competition too. LOL, I hadn't thought about running two of them but for the price that's kind of a bargain for 500w and 2 15"s along with all the features to set them up differently.
Their support has been excellent for me as well. I emailed in a question and got a response within 24 hours. It's nice to see a company taking the time to do it right. I just wish they have been running that chorus pedal deal when I ordered mine.
Or maybe they did. What date did that begin. Anyone remember?
November 1st thru December 31st huh, damn. I bought a month too soon. I think I should write and complain. All who bought earlier helped boost their sales by virtue of all the great free promo we gave them.

@4FrankP: yeah i guess if the Chorus does have stereo outs i probably wouldn't have needed that splitter? I just was reading about splitting signal and how if you don't have proper isolation that some serious noise could enter the signal and that is why i purchased the Lehle P-Split as it got great reviews on eliminating noise. I have never attempted to split signal to me so i plead ignorance. But when i get the Chorus i will certainly be trying that out to see if i can eliminate the Lehle from the chain. Musicians Friend neglected to add the sales receipt to my shipment, and i don't have a working printer at this time, so i have to wait for the receipt to arrive via snail mail before i can send in for the Chorus.
And yes i also am happy with the service from TC thus far. I have had two very swift responses (they were both answered within only a few hours) from TC Electronic when i was inquiring about a few things.

I'm about to jump on this wagon, I have a couple of questions, is it possible to set up the tone print feature to run 2 effects at the same time? for instance the compressor and the chorus?. Also have any of you guys used it horizontally? Do you usually put it straight in the floor or use an Amp Stand? Thanks for your help!

No. One at a time, on the TonePrints. I think it's best if you go in with a firm understanding that these are just some effect presets that you can use one of at a time. If you have anything beyond the most basic needs...like "Oh, I think I'll use a little chorus for this song," this does not mean you won't need pedals.
IMO there's no practical way to change them, if you wanted to use more than one on a gig.
Agree... Unless you wanna develop public image of yourself as a geek gone mad, find the most useful one and stick to it.
^^ Thanks guys for your help, I'm just coming back from GC with my new amp, boy that box is huge! (good packaging). I actually do not use effects. I grew up playing with an amp that had a chorus and a limiter built in so I was wondering if I could do the same, that is all.
Got one from Sweetwater last Tuesday. Still haven't had a band practice with it but after a couple of loud in-the-basement sessions with a trusty Fender Mustang bass I have to say I'm quite impressed so far. Gets louder than I thought it would given this form factor. Stupid light, too.

You know your comments have me thinking about buying another unit to get the chorus. I went to the TCE site and looked at the pdf manual for the corona chorus. Seems like it's very advanced. And it does have the two outs ... plus two ins so if you want to play a second guitar. There's a lot of documentation but it looks like it will drive a second amp and thereby split the signal. Of course one of us could email TCE support.
As for the tone print, you're right. You could put one tone print on one unit and one on another so you could have, say, compressor and chorus (or octaver or whatever) and I imagine it would OK unless the two toneprints somehow interfered with one another.
Plus I got my BG250 used (one scratch and supposedly a dent I have not been able to find) for about $280 shipped from MusiciansFriend. Then I bought just the basic unlined cover from LeCover to help protect it. Yes, I should have gotten at least the minimal padded one but this one is doing the job.

The others covered the first part of your question so I'll cover the second. Mine is on an amp stand tilted back slightly both in rehearsals and at gigs. I feel I can hear it better that way.
I looked at a GK too since I already have an MB 112 I like but liked the BG250 just a little more. It was a smart move on their part to add those powered cabs to expand the smaller combos but another though occurs which already did to GoneFission.
Two BG250s run exactly the same as a GK MB115 and a 115 powered cab and give you a little more flexibility tonally and a little more juice. Anyway, it creates another option in this mid powered combo market.
I'll say this. Those little GKs are surprisingly loud for their size but this BG250 even out does them by a pretty good margin. I was used to running my MB 112 a lot harder than I ever run the BG250. With the gain dialed in correctly and the compressor on I never get much past 12 o'clock and it's thumping. Great design.
Pretty hard to knock the combo + powered cabinet setup, and I gotta admit the new GK's are awfully easy on the eyes. I think it's the better looking amp...for whatever appearance is worth.
As far as my taste goes i think i will be finding the Toneprint option pretty useless although i did need it to add the Spectracomp. Personally it could have just came with the Spectracomp installed with no other option and i would have been happy.
I enjoy the sound so much using that as needed that i don't see myself playing without it and if i ever find myself reaching for some effect i am pretty sure it will be an outboard pedal. That being said i did play around with many of the different Toneprints and they sound great and are fun to mess around with but for my personal taste the Spectracomp for gigging will always be in there.
