Count me in, not all gear has to be expensive to be good! All smiles from me with my BAM200.

I like to think I’m no slouch for tone. My last head was an Eden WT800 and combo a GK.

TC is not a “cool” brand but at least it’s not a clone too. Just a bare bones amplifier.

I didn’t think the marketing departments could give us such reasonable things.

You're all being very creative with your customizations and i really like all these towering rigs.
i've been a fan for a long time and i'm saddened how things went downhill with the brand.
I've recently purchased mint BG250 from a studio owner and i've been using BG500 for over 10 years.
Nova repeater is probably the first product i bought, and it's one of my favorite digital delays..
Can i get a number, please?

Not saying it’s the same at all, but my daughter‘s fiancé had a sudden cardiac arrest, and we lost him in February. So when I say, I am feeling for you and thinking about you, Internet stranger, I mean it. I hope you aren’t offended if I pray for you too. At the very least accept some positive vibes lol

I'm so sorry for you and your daughters loss. I've lost many close people to me (including both of my parents and little brother) in a rather short period of time, so I definitely feel for you. I could certainly use the prayers right now, no offense there! 🙏

Thanks, guys, and sorry for being such a hassle, i had no idea about the troubles of your close ones and such deep personal losses. Next to that, the end of our favorite brand seems totally inconsequential..

But I wish You all the best, the resilience to deal with all the issues and the inspiration to write and play great music!

I can't even begin to imagine.. but thanks for sharing, that means a lot. I'm sure you'll overcome the trauma together, with your strength combined, and your faith.. people tend to focus on happier memories and the rest should eventually fade away over time, hopefully. :)

My thoughts are with You! My melancholic mood is usually reflected in the music i tend to listen to in that state.. the underlying beauty can eventually uplift you like nothing else. Music is the universal cure for all the ailments of the human soul.

I've owned TC Electronic products for 35 years starting with the original Booster + Distortion/Line Driver and many more of their pedals since then. I've also owned two TC Bass amps. A BG250 1x15 and an RH750 head.

Both have taken their share of criticism around here due to how their equivalent output was compared to other amps while at the same time using power modules that produced much less wattage. Few seemed to understand the proprietary power management design TC used with them so they fell in disfavor.

My own experience is they lacked nothing in tonal range or output volume. I played that BG250 in a 7 piece blue band with two fairly loud guitarists and a heavy hitting drummer and it cut through just fine never needing more than a setting of half way on the master volume. It's a very nice/loud combo amp.

The RH750 is a brute. I ran it through an Epifani UL2 212 cab. It also lacked nothing in output and had one of the most cleverly designed tone stacks I've ever come across. The biggest regret I have regarding TC is their having been sold to Uli Behringer. They're no longer the innovative company they once were.

Agree with you on the RH750. It really is a brute of an amp and extremely versatile. Also agree on TC being sold to Uli Behringer. It's a shame they are no longer innovative and seem content to just produce inexpensive gear. Not expanding on the RH heads or Blacksmith seems like a big missed opportunity.

Bam 200 vs. Thrust BQ500
The Bam is now back in stock at SW for $119 and the Thrust is due back in stock at $169
Am I crazy not to spend the extra $50 for the extra wattage and a compressor? Really like the form factor of the Bam though.
Due they sound similar and does the 200 watts feel very stout?
