TC Electronic RH750 ???!??

The TC stuff is nice for sure. Though not a big deal for most, I would like to see the built in tuner range extended. For times when needing to tune below or above the TC range of (438-445..I think it is), the tuner is useless and obnoxious. Really nice feature, but a bit limited.

Mine just arrived! I've only played it for a moment, but at least through a Berg AE410, it sounds absolutely massive.

I love the compressor and especially the TweeterTone feature. I'm gonna gig with it this weekend -- I'll let you know what I'm hearing after the gig.

I'm really looking forward to hearing your review of this. I'm on the fence as whether I want to keep my streamliner or go back to TCE for the RH750. If my RH450 had the Tweetertone, I never would've sold it for the s900.

Hi Scott -

The BHB is at the Tulalip this Saturday, and at Muckleshoot next week. I'm really looking forward to putting the amp through its paces for these gigs. So far, I LOVE my Streamliner 900 and I'm not expecting the RH 750 to change my opinion of that amp. However, I was REALLY impressed with the sound of the
750 for the few minutes I played it this evening. It was one of those great out-of-box experiences that we all hope for. I think this amp will put TC Electronic on the top of a lot of players' "must-have" lists.

Very cool. I won't be able to make your gig this weekend cause I'm playing the Clearwater casino both nights with Dance Factory, but I'm hoping I can come out and see your show at the Muckleshoot next weekend. I love the new leather couches they put in the cigar bar. Might have to make use of those between your sets. :D

Yeah, the RH450 sits at the top of my want list. The main thing is if it can play in the same league as my S900 tonally.

Damn GAS...I think I will have to get one of these.

Frankly, an RH450 would be enough for me, but not without the tweetertone. I was hoping for an updated version of the 450, but I can live with the RH750, too. :)

I assume you meant the RH750?

The thing that first impressed me about the Streamliner 900 was the sense of effortless slam. That amp reminds me more of the Aggie DB-750 than any other I've played so far. Regarding the tone of the RH750, I did push the lows a little to see what the character of the low end could be. There's so much power that you get a sense of slam similar to the S900. I think I can get closer by playing more with tone control center points (and mix) and the SpectraComp.

But I didn't buy the amp to emulate a DB-750. So far, I love the tone just as it is. Tomorrow night I'll know for sure!

Oops, yes! The RH750. :)

I'm with you that I don't want anything to emulate the mighty DB, but just something that gets into the same league. It's 'the slam' I'm looking for. The S900 does it really well, and I know the RH450 can too, minus the more open high end. Which brings me to the RH750. :) The control and gig-friendly features of the RH heads make them highly valuable to the gigging bass player.

I'm speculating at this point, but the RH450 feels to me to have nearly the power of the SL900. I think the RH750 will get it all the way there, and then some probably, plus the Tweetertone knob will let folks control the high end extension to get as much or as little as they want. Given how popular the RH450 has been, I can't see how the RH750 will be anything other than a grand slam as long as it doesn't have any issues. If the reports are good for this guy after they start hitting the streets, you can bet I'll have one for sure. I absolutely love my RH450 in every way, though I occasionally want to open the top a bit. It would be nice to have the extra headroom also, especially with 8 ohm loads.
