Super happy with mine. I've used it with and without FX pedals in front, with and without TubeDrive and Toneprint and always with a 5 string.

I love the tones I get from it, running pretty much centered.

I use it for rehearsals and gigs and could not be happier. Not even considering anything else at the moment.

It's why there aren't guitar class Ds. Google ftw.

While you're Googling, might want to do a query for "Kemper Profiling Amp," among others.

And, uh, since when did guitarists choose amps for their extended high end?

There are tons of hi-fi types who have switched to class D architectures at least in part *because* of their sense of air (although your mileage may vary depending on the "core" chip and implementation) - Google *that*.

The comparative lack of affordable guitar amps with class D powerplants has everything to do with guitarists thinking they need power-stage breakup (something that class D sounds particularly bad doing), and typical guitarists' belief that solid state is always bad and wrong as a general rule. There are some of us, however, who are a little more enlightened.

Bought mine used back in March, i think. A couple rehearsals and several gigs, shared with a few other bands. Both indoor clubs and outdoor shows. Sounds good to me with a 4pc surf punk group. Zero issues so far.

My only thought is to add another handle somewhere on the side, to make it easier to carry up a 4th floor apartment :/
