TC Electronics RH 450 and RH 750 reliability?

I can believe that one amp, or maybe even two. But a run of 5 of one brand and 2 of another brand says there's more to this story. The quick easy says it's a cabinet problem, but it could be a user interfacing with amp control issue, or it could be something like a power problem.

Well, I asked a simple question...at least one dude on here tried to answer it!
In regards to the amps going down because of my ignorance..do any of you know me, how old I am, how long have I been playing, am I a pro, beginner or some weekend warrior...I don't think so! Just be respectful and contribute something constructive or don't say anything at all and keep your childishness to yourself. We are all here to help each other out. Stick to that...no wonder the world is going to the sh%&er!

I meant to imply that the amp has it's positive attributes (highly flexible eq, pre-sets, compressor etc... ) but also has some well major (to my mind anyway) draw backs. Those drawbacks stem mainly from the baked in tone that the amp has. If you like that tone, you will love this amp. If you need really deep lows or even sparkling highs, you may be better off looking at something else.
If I were to consider buying one today, I would make sure that I bought it from a retailer who would allow me to take the thing home for a week and try it out in a band setting. You will then know if it's the amp for you... also, consider used.

No problems with my RH450 and it is about a year and a half old. Done heaps of gigs and I play it at home at least 3 out of 7 the days a week, for about an hour a session. Plus rehearsals

Sorry fat fingered.
One of the preset push buttons is cracked.
No other problems.
It is plenty loud.
I also patch in audio tracks through my looper/delay via effects send - return
To practice at volume. For me it works well. Don't particularly like the
Head phone practice (minus the cab output) because
It makes the playback sound too "tinny" i.e. mixes out the low freqs
Having 3 TC cabs allows me to dedicate one RS cab for the drummer
The onboard tuner is nifty
Three presets are great and valuable for me in a cover band because
Together with my Jazz bass with Alembic active pu's I can click in to
Every sound I need

Thanks to everyone...think I'm going to be getting one soon!
Btw about my Carvin BX500, I called them yesterday and explained my story and apparently they've had some problems and have update the model several times and they said to send it back and they would fix it out of warranty. I must say that's pretty cool, so for now I will continue to use my Carvin at rehearsals and maybe as a backup on the road!

Mine has been performing perfectly.
No problems at all.

Great little amp...I especially love how it sounds with a P bass.
It is just big and ballsy and meaty sounding.

I only need to bring my Pbass and the RH in a gigbag on my back, and I wheel my cab into gigs.
I don't even need a tuner anymore, because the amp has one.

Very satisfied.

There have been a few reported issues with knobs falling off and even fewer of buttons cracking on the TC amps. The knobs are a poor design, imho, and of minor consequence. The button problem is also cosmetic, but is less easily fixed. Fortunately, both problems are very rare. I haven't really seen any reports of these amps dying, and have had no problems myself with the amp not working.

If you do any studio work, the TC (I use a 750) is worth easily worth its price as a studio DI/preamp. It does have a "baked in eq," as some have said, but isn't that true of most amps? Just depends on whether or not you like TC's cooking...
