TC MojoMojo Overdrive, surprisingly good...FUZZ pedal??

Yeah that's right! I loves me some TC pedals, so I picked up a MojoMojo Overdrive to see if it would replace my favorite OD of all time (so far)...the Hardwire Tube Overdrive.

Did it do that? Oh heck no. Not even close. Hardwire wins yet again, I'll probably stop looking. I was all set to send the MojoMojo back as I just didn't care for anything it did....but then it hit me...I'm listening for a tube-ish OD pedal and it ain't that. But man listen to it FIZZ! It's quite the stellar Fuzz pedal, and it may replace my Muff even though I wasn't trying to.

Have a listen. As always, excuse the bass player, for he tries his best :)

This is done with my Spector NS-5.

Hardwire just for fun:

TC Dark Matter which I use for just a hint of grit.
I love this pedal. Very transparent, perfect for what I do with it:

Well, I have't tried it in person, but judging from this video it certainly doesn't impress me, pretty fizzy and muddy at the same time, definitely not a pedal I personally would bother even trying out for bass, and while it might have some slightly somewhat fuzzy qualities it doesn't sound like a fuzz to me at all, like OP claims, but rather a pretty crappy overdrive, as advertised, (well the overdrive part, obviously not the crappy part). I guess it sounds fairly decent on really low gain settings though, judging from this video, but absolutely nothing remotely exceptional. :

If my opinion you want warm overdive get a Joyo American Sound instead, and if you want clanky overdrive get a Joyo Orange Juice.

If you want fuzz get a Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz.
