tc new looper pedal (polytune mini size)

I've wanted a small looper at the front of my signal so I can feed it onto different effects a la Juan Alderette...this looks perfect.
Do you mean restart from the beginning, or simply resume from where the loop was prior to its being stopped? Either would be useful; both would be cool! But I'm probably asking a lot from such a simple UI.
And speaking of which...
Looking at the diagrams you posted earlier, let me see if I get this: In order to "stop and then restart your loops" you would have to Stop (press twice) and then Play (press once)
...right?
If so that would limit the value of that particular capability for me, since the only time I need to stop and then restart my loops are when I want to play a fragment of a longer loop several times in succession before allowing the whole thing to play out in its entirety. That would appear to require some really quick toe-tapping with the Ditto.
I'll probably get one regardless.
Yeah, it clearly would never suffice as my primary looper...but I'm thinking of it as my fourth looper (!), so I can accept some limitations. Just trying to get a handle on whether the limitations would be frustrating/annoying, or simply an asset that helped define how best to use the pedal.
True considering a Boss RC-3 is maybe US$40 or so more. But, using specials, coupons and the like will bring the price down.
well than it is the same for the tc, if msrp is 129 you can bring it down to at least 100 to 110 with coupon
I might be interested in checking one of these out. Having a dedicated looper would be awesome. Currently using the flashback as well, which I dont really enjoy as a looper. I feel as though theres a lot of signal degradation when I switch to loop mode. not to mention the footswitch is horrible on the flashback imo. + being able to have my delays in my loop would be great
Ah, I think I now understand the significance of this seemingly obvious feature:
I just read the owner's manual for a Flashback, and apparently you can't stop and then restart your loops with that unit! Once you stop playback you've flushed the memory.
Okay, so back to jonesing for a Ditto!
I have a Boomerang III coming..............but that might have been an impulsive buy....gotta see how much I use it and if I can justify that price and space....would totally jump on this guy if I don't. Any release date set?

Count me in for one of these. Edit: the bass video is very intriguing. Looks like a great pedal to noodle around with.
I'm in...after I recover from spending on a mic, that is, which will be about the time the pedal's released. And the GC's mgr here says he owes me a favor...can your say 'instant coupon?'
Now that there are some comparisons with Boss loopers going on, I think it should be added that the ditto is true bypass, which IMO gives it a HUGE advantage over Boss. I have the RC-2 and have used the RC-3 and find both to be terrible tonesuckers with a rather poor recording quality. I can't tell if the larger Boss units are as bad as the small ones, but I believe (judging from my Flashback) that the Ditto will actually have a decent sound - apart from keeping the tone alive.
