I was perusing the TC website and noticed the Nova Dynamics compressor is now discontinued. It seems to be a love/hate relationship with that pedal around here but I think it's one of the best out there and very transparent for bass or guitar. I thought the Nova line was doing well for them but I guess not this model. I imagine the retailers will start blowing them out since it's discontinued and I might just have to get a second one as a backup - just in case.

TC Nova Dynamics discontinued

I picked up one from RMC for $120-ish... a few months ago. I do get the infamous 'tink' sound that Bongomania has explained BUT I really like the 'multiband' setting and if your using the 'squeeze' comp with other effects, the 'tink' kinda gets lost in the noise! Also kinda neat (option overkill but still a tweakers delight) to be able to 'place' it twice in your signal chain if desired. Good comp overall.
I've read about the tink problem but I can't hear it in mine. I only use the multiband setting though, one set pretty mild and the other for super squish with the blend at min. That tink problem is in stomp mode isn't it? I'll have to play with it and see if I can get mine to do it. I purchased it after trying it in a store but don't know if I would have heard it there or not with all the background noise.
Any other issues besides the described "tink"? In the process of getting one on sale price since its half the price of an EBS Multi comp.
