Well, I tried the setting at rehearsal and ended up going back to the "flat setting" as my bass virtually diappeared using the setting you provided... I was getting all bloom and no note definition...
Now, that could be the result of the room (which I suspect is a major contributor to the sound).
Got a gig next Friday and will try out a few different things and update the thread...

Aw man! I was hoping I had come up with the magic bullet, ha!

Oh well.

I played with a band for the second time with the RH750 last night. I ran with something fairly close to those settings, and I was largely digging it. I'm still getting to know it, and I'm not 100% sure where I ended up leaving the centers.

O.T. for a moment... well kinda!

So last night I was playing my bass through my RH450 and AE410 combo, in my basement, going over a few songs for an up coming gig. I was also listening to the Blue Jays game on the radio (AM) and noticed that my 450 sure puts out a lot of "interferance" on my radio plugged into the same AC recepticle... I could hear my notes grow, then fade, but not with any tone, just a kinda buzz... but it defintely was audible.
Not a complaint be any means, just an observation.

I was trying to imitate Sansamp's tone of mid frequency cut @ 600Hz.
However, I don't feel anyway lack of mid for this setting at all. The cut makes the whole thing tighter. The bump at bass @280Hz and low mid @250Hz together really packs a BIG PUNCH.

I use a fender deluxe jazz tho,which has a lot of high mid. So you may have to cut less/more high mid to fit your bass.

I have an RH450 that I have kept as a backup amp for my main gig rig - Mesa Walkabout 12 + Scout 12 ext.

I only have the Mesa cabs to check the RH450 (and I don't like the combination very much), but have been thinking of getting an RS cab to go with it as it has some very nice features (3 programmable settings, nice footswitch, tuner, spectracomp great DI).

Reading through the 450 Club thread I see that TBers are using a wide variety of cabs with their TC RH450's.

RS210's (single and in multiples)
RS212's (single and multiples)
RS210+212
RS210+112

Bergs
Genz
TecAmp
Aguilar
GK Neo's

I am typically inclined to match manufacturer gear with the assumption that the amp and cabs are designed to go together well. I have never been a big fan of 10's so I am considering picking up an RS212 (have gotten to be a big fan of 12's in the past couple of years).

Anyone of you experienced RH450 users want to talk me out of an RS212 ? Seems like some of the Berg users are very happy with the 450/Berg combination, but I have no hands on with any Bergantino cabs.

I'm wondering if the RH amps perform ideally with the RS cabs vs other cab makers stuff.

I have a bit of a bias (probably irrational) against 10's. Just never found a 10 loaded cab that I personally liked.

If you had the choice between the TC RS2x10 and RS212, which would you pick based on your experience.

I think it's just personal preference between the TC 12's - 10's cabs...
They're both good and people seem to be happy with either.
I prefer one of each!
:)
If you like 12's, definitely go with the RS212.
Then put a RS210 on top of it.

Personally, I'd pick up the RS210. Even though specs are specs, it apparently has the same power handling as the RS212, (400W). Whether they can run to that is not for me to comment...theyve both never needed pushing.

I've used an RS210 with a Markbass LM3 in a loud rehearsal (eg full volume guitars/drums) and I didn't need anymore than the one small RS210.

I think the RS210 edges it for me because of:

Size
Slightly punchier and crisper
Weight

But, the RS212 no doubt pushes a bit more 'air' and feels bigger in the mix when it comes to lower frequencies.
