Hmmm... It's not about looks, but if you want them side by side go for it. They're your cabs, place where you see fit.

I stack for three reasons.

1. It get the top speaker closer to my ears so I can hear myself more easily. My calves don't have ears. ;)
2. The "line array" effect comes into play and my sound is less directional and more easily heard by me when off axis.
3. I can do the afore mentioned "acoustic tilt" to hear myself even more easily.

(OK four reasons... 4. I like the looks. :D)

Placing a cab on the floor gives a better bottom end and placing a cab on a raised surface gives you a better clearer sound from the cab if you're standing close to or in front of it so I think the point of stacking them vertically is to get the best of both worlds!
Personally I like the look of it stacked vertically, plus if you are on a smaller stage it has a smaller footprint.

Mostly Worship. Thats my setting for my Pedulla ThunderBolt 6. It's all high end and hardly any bottom. It has the old Bartolini controls. My PentaBuzz gets lots of fatness! I was also using through a BFM OMNI 210 cab that was pretty brittle sounding as well.

Gratuitous picture posting

In some (partly) GAS motivated moves, I switched up my Uber 410 for a Schroeder 212PL 1,000 Watt, and my BG250 for this.

Carvin MB115 extension cabinet. I swapped out the chrome (forgot to order a handle) and changed it to Speakon.

Played with a group yesterday, and paired with the RH, it's a real winner. Surprisingly deep, tight and loud.

I've discovered a new positive point of my RHrig that I want to share with you:

Recently my friend THE DRUMMER at rehearsal, has told me "I don't hear you". Then, as I have stacked vertically the 212-210 beside the drummer, I've turned 90° the 212 focusing to the drummer, and the 212 has converted in a monitor for the drummer. Problem solved without up the volume, thing that always I receive complaints from the brass section :banghead:(about my volume). I don't lose bottom end and I listen well to myself with the 210 focused to me, stacked up the 212.

I got to try the RH450 with a single RS210 tonight at rehearsal tonight at church and sat it on my Hartke 1-15 combo I leave there for others but forgot to bring a combo 1/4"/ Speakon cable to try to link that 15 up to it. I got some really nice burpy tones with the PentaBuzz. I play there again next Wednesday and both services the following Sunday. I will bring the RS212 for those but I am curious about the. 1-15 add. Hummmmm.

The DI out is a dream into the PreSonus board. Sound man likey likey!

Its a square room with the platform in a corner so it's actually a diamond. It's a little boomy but it's better with people. It seats about 350 +.

Presets kinda saved me last night! My Pedalboard never fired up last night for some reason and I did the mad scramble plugging and unplugging to see if I needed to bypass something to keep, actually start , going and I finally had to plug direct into the RH450 and didn't like what I had dialed to work with the pedalboard and clicked 1 and that was ok and then clicked 2 and wham. Let's go! No twiddling, play on.

Funny thing after church. Drag my pedalboard out, replug everything like it was and everything works fine! Demons. messin' wit me.

Compressor on my TH450 - few days ago I did comparison of my Empress Compressor, fed into front of my TH450 against the SpectraComp (built in one), recorded and analyzed through headphones in PT. Even though both compressors performed well by adding phatness and evening out the sound, my verdict goes to TC!! It has better low end which I believe comes from multiband compression. For this very reason I sold Empress and PWNZOR. I guess sometimes I search for something that lies right in front of me.

I know these have fallen out of favor amongst some. But last night, wow. I ran just one of my 212s with my RH450 at a show last night and it killed it. A couple sound guys came up to me in between songs and were absolutely floored. And a couple bass players in the crowd as well were believers afterwards. It was loud, clear, punchy and filled that room up like a champ.

And I need a club number.
