I've seen a few pop up here, but I was always a week or two late. Being a Supporting Member, I don't know if you can set up some kind of alert for an RC4 in the classifieds?

I found mine on Kijiji (Canadian for CL). The guy had the whole setup, but was willing to sell the the foot switch separate. It was the the fourth full system I'd found (after an RH750, a Blacksmith, another RH450), but this was he first guy willing to sell it separate.

Good question. Mine was used, but I still watched to make sure it didn't go into an update, just so I wouldn't fry it by accidentally turning the power off in the middle of the update.

I'd be curious if new ones ship already updated, too, though.

Actually, they likely wouldn't even know.

What I do know is that some RC4s have been in store warehouses for years - before TC even became a part of Music Tribe - and may trigger a firmware download from the amp. However, it only takes about 35 seconds to complete and the tuner display shows its progressing.

Managed to locate a TC 3 switch pedal. Traded a couple items,with music store,that has a BH250 with the switch pedal. Already had a BH250 that I bought,that didn't have the pedal. Ended up with two BH250's. Sold one,and kept one. Starting to familiarize myself with Toneprint app on the phone. Probably could have just used Tone that was already loaded into the amp.

True story, Practiced last night with a sub guitarist for this weekends show and some new songs. He had a Mesa Boogie Head and a 412 cab and I took my TC RH450 with one K212 cab. He was pretty amazed and complimenting me on the amp.

It was pumping out a beautiful growly and commanding tone. This amp always gets favorable comments in the real world. :cool:

I've been gassing for something like an Arkham Oracle tube preamp and a Baby Sumo poweramp rig, or some other boutique-y tube setup. I don't need to spend that money, though, so I've been fighting the urge. Today I played through my RH450 and tried different combinations of gain and tubetone, and I now feel much better about not spending money lol. I still would love a boutique tube rig someday, but this old amp continues to just sound wonderful.

Agree most indubitably. No matter how many amps I go through, which is a lot, the RH450/750 remains at the top of the heap.
