TC RH750 no output. Anyone work on these?

I just picked up a TC Electronics RH750. I have an RH450 that I use regularly which is why I wanted to try the 750. I got it at a a great price ($250) but it was online and "as-is". So, I can't be upset at anyone. I knew the risk. Anyways, it powers up, all controls respond as they should according to the display and my pedal works with it. The tuner and peak indicator at the gain show that it's receiving signal. However, there's no output from the power amp. Not even noise. Does anyone here work on these or have any insight as to what step I should take first? Thanks!

If there are other connections to play with like headphones, effects send/return, direct out, line out.... You could narrow it down for certain. First thing I would try is to patch effect send and return. Second is headphones if it has that. Third, run the send or line out from the 450 to the return on the 750. Confirm all cables are good, etc.

Good suggestions.
Headphones; got nice clear sound and verified all controls preamp work. Took the DI output and patched into the amp input of my RH450 and it worked great. So, it seems to be an issue with the power amp/speaker output. I didn't try patching the effects output to the effects input but I did take the preamp signal from my 450 and patch it to the amplifier input on this and nothing.

Are you using a correctly wired genuine Neutrik SpeakOn cable and not one that is wired for bridged mode?

My experience is that they are very difficult to repair, even with a lot of experience and the proper tear equipment. I recommend contacting The Music Group's customer care center for help in getting this sorted out.

The speakon cable I used is the same one that works fine with my RH450 and other amps/cabs so I'm sure it's wired fine. I also tried a 1/4" jack cable that I know works too. Who is The Music Group? Is that TC's parent company?

Check the effects loop. Not just the DI out to in on the other amp, but try the effects send from one to the other.
The "Mute" button could be acting up. Push it 20 times.
Is there any pop or relay click sound you hear when you turn it on? If there's a soft start that delays the speaker out to prevent pops, the relay not engaging could be a problem. If the RH450 has a relay click but the RH750 doesn't it would be something to look at.
There may be internal fuses on the PCB that have blown but you'd need a qualified tech to take a look to figure out why.

Music Tribe is in a big warehouse building, in an industrial park, naturally, directly across the street from Las Vegas Mc.Carren airport. They do all the repairs on TC gear. I personally drove my broken BAM-200 head to them before Christmas. They didn't even fix mine for me, they FedExd a brand new BAM-200 to me. I know they sell stuff outta there on E-Bay, cheap, like 1/2 off new so its probably the stuff they fix later on I guess. I know people maybe complain about TC as a whole, but what they did for me for my little throw away BAM head, I was MAJORLY surprised and happy.

Hey, thanks for the info. Do you have contact information for them? I'm in NC and too far to take it there personally but I sure would ship it to them...

Is your amp under any sort of warrante or are you just maybe wanting to pay someone yourself to fix it?

I do remember these guys too in Vegas. When my 18yr old son was in a very altered, Vegas induced frame of mind, and busted up my Novation Impulse 61 keyboard, I had called these guys up and was talking to them about the repair. Real upfront and honest conversation. Turns out I just threw the keybard in the trash, the key bed was like amost the cost of a new complete keyboard.

Do try the effect send of the 450 into the effect return of the 750 (with cab hooked up to 750 of course), and the send of the 750 to the return of the 450 (cab hooked to the 450) like @seamonkey recommends above. And his advice about the mute switch. The effect loop seems to be a common problem on a number of amps. It could be as simple as cleaning those jacks, or leaving a short patch cable plugged in on the 750 connecting its send and return.
