Just picked up this 1210:

Hello TTE! I'm new to TB. I found TB searching the internet for info on a neglected Hohner BBass I found on CL. Then, once a member, I found this thread.

Anyway, for many years I've played through a GP7SM250 into various non TE cabs. About a year ago I picked up a 1028 on CL and really like it. I have a generic 1x15" cab loaded with an EVM under the 1028 right now in the stack. I'd really like to get rid of the EV and put another TE cab in it's place. I've been watching for a 1518c (size is right for my little car and weak back) for a little while at a good price but recently I've wondered if another 1028 would be better. Does anyone here have an opinion on this? I'm mostly playing classic rock these days and we put only vocals through the PA.

Also, do I need a picture to get a TTE #? If not, sign me up!

Sharkwagon... nice rig. another 1028 cab would be choice for that!

AaronBass4, you can also look for an 1153T.
It's an older version of the 1518C (15"X1@8ohm, compact cab) and would handle what you 250SM can give it.
That said, another 1028/H cab would give you more volume (as will the 1518c/1153T), but as long as the 1028s are stacked - an extra 6db gain to boot .
Yeah, you need a pic of your TE gear to get a number..

waiting for pics... tap tap tap.... :D

Thanks for your response, Trace. I hadn't considered a 1153T because I think the covering is rat fur and wouldn't match the 1028 (yeah, I know, it should be about the sound but I've been playing with mish-mosh stacks since the beginning and the idea of a matched stack is appealing) . Also, I haven't measured yet, but I think another 1028 or a 1518c would fit side-by-side in the back of my little A3 wagon. So, all else equal, I would prefer a 1028 or 1518c. Is there any sonic reason to go with a 1153T? It would probably be more cost effective (easier to get finance committee approval). So, you don't think I would be missing anything not having a 15 in the mix (that is, if I go with another 1028)?

Like Trace said, another 1028 will give you more volume than the 15" cab. I personally like running 15"s and 10"s together though and prefer the sound. It depends on your needs. -Luke

I was playing My old GP7SM200 (1994 build era). seems to be a bit down on power , I was running it through an Apmeg HLF 4x10 just didn't shake the walls like it use to.
any ideas? power output ? transformer?
also I might pick up a GP7 series 6 AH 20015 , whats the power output of the Ah200 15
and if I'm corect its an all SS amp right?
