Tebow

Tebow is one of three quarterbacks to throw for 300+ yards with no interceptions and run for over 100 yards in a playoff game in the history of the NFL.
We could go on and on, and OP can say he's not a hater until the cows come home, but we know what this thread is about. All the stats and examples in the world to the contrary won't change it.
Tebow has brilliant games and terrible games. You don't know which kind until the game is over, and he is just as likely to follow a brilliant one with a stinker. That inconsistency alone is enough for a lot of GMs to avoid him.
Absolutely.
He needs help. He needs training. He needs a full off season to work with a couple of mentors and a coaching staff willing to design plays around his unique skill set. These are the things he was about to receive in Denver until Mr. Wonderful came along.
But avoided? Pretty strong word.
I know it was his first season. They started him too early. I know they didnt have much of a choice but he still wasnt ready to start. And now that the league figured out how to defend the trick plays and that wildcat garbage Tebow had better learn to throw the ball better. They went 7-4 because they surprised defenses and used alot of gadget plays. But as you all know that only went so far. So yeah he helped them win a few games. But when he was figured out the offense was forced to throw the ball. Thats where he bit the dust. The NFL is a passing league, Tebow is not qualified as of yet. He was a blind squirrel that found the nut a few times. That was it, nothing more
That was my take. Manning could help him polish some of the things he is lacking in. Maybe help him with his mechanics and reading DS.
For everybody saying that he can't throw, he sure was right on the money in the Pittsburgh game. 
Before that game, every time I'd watch him throw, his passes looked like wounded ducks. But he was close to perfection against my Steelers. He sure "picked" a bad time to have his best game ever...

In the first Broncos vs. Patriots game they did a motion analysis of Brady and Tebow. Physically his arm and body were almost identical to Brady's. I'm not comparing them as players, but his mechanics are getting there.

Just convert the guy to tight end or even a 3rd down/short yardage running back and be done with it. He would have far greater success in the league that way than he ever will as a QB.
His passer rater is similar to Brady's in his first season as well. Tebow in NE would be a very interesting twist to things. I still don't think that Elway is dumb enough to trade him though.

I was thinking the same thing. Think of the look on Antonio Cromartie's face when he'd see Tebow steamrolling towards him! Or maybe Brady lateraling to him and Tebow then passing to a wide-open Welker or Hernandez! What a weapon he would be!
I'm on board for that. Tebow would not be the heir to Brady, but a great addition that makes defenses have to prepare for a greater variety of plays. I don't think he will ever be a better-than-average starting QB in the NFL, but I understand that reasonable people will differ about that. What is less debatable is that he is a great athlete and a proven winner - teams can't have enough guys like that on the roster.
I can see Tebow in essentially the same role he played as a freshman at Florida. Remember, that was still Chris Leak's team, but Tebow added another dimension to it. I think he could do the same in the NFL.
Well its not like he expects to make it to the Majors but as athlete he is so far beyond the office softball league this is his only opportunity to play and have some fun.
