Tech 21 VT Bass

Plugged the VT into my SVT the other day. Oh what goodness! Made everything sound "clearer" on my SS amp, and it works the same on the SVT, but better. The slightly crunchy tones are just so pleasing. I tried plugging it straight into the power amp but it sounded muddy, but into the front "normal" input is where it stays. This may be the one pedal I cannot live without on any amp!

OK, this thread is 37 pages so I dont have time to read the whole thing. Sorry about that. I have a SANSAMP Programmable BDDI which I love. I am wondering if it is worth getting this pedal or is pretty much the same tones with a MID adjustment added. How do they stack up side by side? Who here has both and how do they compare?

Contained in the 37 pages, there are numerous comparisions... Here's a summary:

-- VT Bass tone = much closer to REAL SVT tones than the BDDI
-- VT Bass isnt programmable,
-- VT Bass doesnt have an XLR out, but output IS hot enough to run straight into a board, or run some power amps.

See, that's the thing... 'to me' anything over 11-12:00 on the character knob is to thin and tinny. From 11:00 to the left to 9:00, 8:00 or even 7:00 is where the beauty of the VT-bass pedal is 'for me'.

I've found the same... the character control on mine usually sits around 9:00.

However, the controls are very, very sensitive- so you still get an incredible range of control just by tweaking the knobs by millimeters. I'm really digging it.
