Hello all,
I have recently got into playing bass more seriously. I have fooled around with it for a long time but am going to actually fill in for a friends band and play some gigs here and there. Small to medium bars. I currently own a JBL EON G2 (as well as an older Peavy "something 100" bass amp" that I practice through at home.
I have read great things about the SansAmp preamp/di and didn't know if using this into the EON G2 or the Peavey bass combo would suffice or if it is going to be a huge improvement to buy a new dedicated bass combo unit like the portaflex series of fliptop amps. The SansAmp would be a cheaper alternative for now at only around $200 versus putting out $750 plus for the Ampeg.
Any opinions on which way to go?
Thanks,
Todd
