I think a big part of making alcohol less of a problem is to educate people about it.

I dont think that lectures are going to do it either. The best way to educate people about drinking is to let them drink safely and responsibly at an early age. Im not talking baout getting your kids plastered, but rather a little bit to drink at meals or on special ocasions. Let them experience it (in moderation) and the kids will stop making such a big deal about it.

I totally agree with the person who mentioned the weird legal dichotomy earlier. I noticed when I turned 18 that I was now of age to fight and die for my country, vote for president, get married, and be tried as an adult (and die!) for my crimes, yet I wasn't old enough to drink. How does that work?
