Tell me about the SVT pro II

I got my SVT 2 Pro a couple months ago and love the thing. Definite upgrade from my GK 400RB 210 combo.

The thing is loud and built like a tank. There is a ton of EQ adjustment you can do with this amp and it has enough power to cut through almost any mix.

I haven't had much of a chance to really crank the thing and see what it can do in a live setting but it has been amazing for our practices and recording. It has really improved the overall sound of my band and fills out our songs nicely.

I was able to find a nearly new American made model on Ebay for a pretty decent price and I haven't regreted the purchase one bit... except for the times when I have to carry the thing. It is heavy but well worth it.

Hate 'em, wouldn't buy another one...

Because there's no room for another one! :smug:

From this discussion, I'm getting that some SVTs suck less than others. How do you keep track?

A non-SVT user can easily keep track by just assuming they all suck. For the SVT user, he/she should just assume they all suck, except for the model SVT that particular user owns.

And to be safe, one should definitely assume that all ss/hybrid SVTs royally suck. Of course, I'm just stating the obvious now...

:D
