It looks like a reboot of T2. Reboots and remakes are being done to death, but I'm psyched. I've really enjoyed all the movies. Even the third one which screwed up the timeline and the Christian Bale one. The TV show was excellent and unfairly cancelled just when it started to get really good. I think this one's gonna be good despite the silly spelling. It's apparently the first installment of a new trilogy.

I enjoyed the plot of this movie (but i also enjoyed the plot of Terminator Salvation so i might be in the minority), It was a good action movie and cleverly written story that i dont class as a reboot. I was impressed with the movie as a whole.

I liked Salvation also. That was supposed to be the first part of a trilogy but I guess that didn't work out. I don't think this one is meant as a reboot but rather a direct sequel to the first two movies.

As much as I loved the Terminator movies - I'll wait for it on Netflix. I've heard an early review that basically gave it a "meh".

There's just no beating T1 & T2, and I thought T3 was OK.

If you thought T3 was okay you will flip over the new one. I have been going back and watching them all (never saw T4 and only saw T3 once.) T3 had potential with it's massive budget, there are tons of awesome explosions and actions scenes, but the crappy story combined with the ******* who did the SFX ruins the movie. Somebody loaded the movie with super cheesy sound effects.

And yeah, T3 was supposed to be a new trilogy, so was T4, and so is T5. Linda Hamilton won the Terminator rights in the divorce, sold them to the company who made T3, they got sold again to the company who made T4, and the company that bailed the previous owners out of bankruptcy got a deal on the rights and made a new movie.

I thought the action was outstanding, but the story itself just didn't do it for me. I was LMAO with the crane demolishing everything in it's path, and Arnold swinging around on it. It also just didn't seem complete without Linda in it. It reminded me of "Hannibal" in which Jodie Foster didn't want to appear as agent Starling - it was a great movie, and Julianne Moore did an excellent job, but I really missed Foster in that one.

I think I remember something about how the budget wouldn't cover the crane scene so Arnold covered it himself. I thought it was a pretty cool scene.
